When Rita was here we went to the Getty Center. I'd been there once before and it was just as great, if not better, the 2nd time around. The only thing that wasn't great was that drive. Click on the photos for larger versions.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are a bunch of Soprano family wannabes. Not to mention they're all bitchy as hell.

I made my first sale today. The first one involving one of the shoots I've done recently with babies/families. They liked all the pictures so they want the CD with everything on it. I'm so glad they liked them that much! Totally makes my day :)
Here's 4 photos from that session...my personal favorites..

We left at the top of the 8th. They were losing 5-1 to the Diamondbacks. Somehow, in 2 innings, they came back to win the game 6-5 and we missed it. Wtf.

San Juan Capistrano, CA

Today we went to San Juan Capistrano. It's an hour from here. To get there we had to drive through the Cleveland National Forest. The road was windy and intimidating. We saw a turnout on the way up so I pulled over and we got out to admire the view...

These are taken at the old mission in San Juan Capistrano. In this first one I had an external flash that was almost straight up. I like the effect it gave..

I love how a place like this is in my own backyard.

Sure, go get married!

It pisses me off how all the crazy christians who support Prop 8 start going on about how they're 'protecting the family'. As if those 2 gay guys who want to get married are against the family or want to abolish families! Or that it means people are going to jump on the imaginary "I want to be gay" bandwagon and before you know it there won't be any straight couples producing babies anymore. And don't give me this shit about growing up with a mother and a father. Kids are lucky if they have even ONE parent who can do a decent job so if 2 loving gay people want kids I'm sure they'll do a hell of a lot better than many of your 'ideal' mothers and fathers. And having gay parents doesn't make you gay! If this were the case than why do straight parents have gay children!? Wtf. I'm getting all pissed off just thinking about it.

Usually "ugly" people have quite a bit of personality. It's the "attractive" people that are morons.

ponderings
For Mother's Day I went out and got a few gifts for a woman I've never met who stays at the women's shelter. I didn't even give her the gift but gave it to someone else who was going there, the one who organized the whole thing. Obviously they don't want a bunch of people showing up to a secret location so the less people who know about it the better. These are women who have fled their homes and their abusive husbands. It's not easy for all women to walk away from a really bad situation. I, thank god, was never in an abusive relationship but I have been in one that wasn't good for me and I didn't have the courage to walk away either. I didn't think I could do any better so why bother?

Anyways, they wrote thank you cards which was nice. I didn't expect or even want anything in return. In fact, I had already forgotten about it because for me to do something nice for someone who needed it was no big deal. A couple years ago someone I went to high school with contacted me and thanked me for something I did for her years ago. I don't even remember the incident but apparently she really appreciated it! Kinda nice when things like that happen. I like to think that good deeds like that eventually come back to you in some form or another.

This is our bedroom now - kinda cramped. When the bed isn't made the whole room looks like a disaster.

This is the guy who led the group therapy for my social phobia back in 2004. He somehow convinced me that I wouldn't drop dead if I got up in front of a room full of people and spoke Swedish, and have it recorded, and then be forced to watch it.

I'm thinking of either the penguin or the giraffe. Of course I wouldn't mind the zebra either.
