I'm 20 weeks today! Halfway there!
Yesterday we went and bought paint for the baby's room. We're not going to do any crazy wallpaper but we did order some neat wall decals. It's not quite finished yet...we still need to get some baby furniture...a crib and a changing table. Those will obviously go in the big empty spot.

This is where I've been going about once a week for the past 8 months. They have a book club, a writer's group, women's wisdom circle and a few other things I like to go to when they offer them. Some of the nicest people I've ever met are here and it's a safe place where no one judges me or 'advises' me or has anything negative to say. Recently they moved into this house and I was asked to take some photos to put on their website. I love any chance to break out the wide angle so of course I said yes ;) Oh and I wanted to do it for them because I try to be nice like that.

This is an 'old' house that's part of the Corona Heritage Park and Museum. There's a nice garden in the back that is used for weddings and I looked into that last year but like most places you can get married, it was way too much for our budget.

Here they have Sunday service. Definitely a different kind of service. It resembles church but it's not quite like going to church as there are no bibles and no pulpit and no giant cross and all that stuff. The reverend speaks about a topic thats...how should I say...welcoming to anyone of any faith. I don't go every Sunday..mostly because I don't like sitting and listening to people talk for a long time...even if it's interesting...haha..I get restless in such situations I guess.

This is the little bookshop with inspiring books. Those curtains on the windows came with me from Sweden. I didn't really want them anymore because they don't really go well in any of our rooms so why let them sit in a closet forever?

This room is used for the Reiki meetings and some other things. I went to a Reiki meeting last week...very relaxing!

My hands are all swollen. The 100+ heat doesn't help matters very much.
Well I can't deny it anymore. My pants are too tight. My shorts are too tight. My skirts are getting a bit too snug and I only have 1 summer dress thats comfortable. I'm going to swing by Old Navy later and see if I can find some cheap summer dresses. I wonder if the one over here has a maternity section.
Tonight is the book club meeting. We're talking about The Four Agreements. It's an ok book...I dunno...I'm not really feelin it. Thats how it goes with books though.
I better get upstairs and work a bit before it gets to be 90 degrees up there.

The little runt is only about an inch long but we could see quite a bit! The head, feet, arms, hands. At first it was just hanging out but then it started bouncing up and down! I'd lie if I said I didn't get a little choked up. Just a little. In these pictures you can see the profile of the head with the features, the legs that spread out at one point, and the hand that stuck up and started waving. Then it settled down again at the bottom of my uterus.

When Rita was here we went to the Getty Center. I'd been there once before and it was just as great, if not better, the 2nd time around. The only thing that wasn't great was that drive. Click on the photos for larger versions.

This is probabaly the most interesting thing I've seen filipinos do...unless you count R singing along to his favorite musical...
This is a year old. They're rehearsing for a new tribute now.
